Jane calendar drafts

Reviewing dates extracted from scheduling documents before they become firm or external calendar events.

On this page

Before you start

  • A reliable source for the date, event, and affected matter.
  • Access to the applicable calendar destination.

Typical workflow

  1. 1

Ask Jane to identify or prepare a calendar event from the selected source context.

  2. 2

Review the event title, date, time zone, matter, description, reminders, and assignees.

  3. 3

Resolve ambiguity between a date-only event and a precise time before confirmation.

  4. 4

Save the internal draft only after comparing it with the authoritative source.

Source selection

Use the operative scheduling document for the selected case and confirm that superseded orders are not included by mistake.

Create PlaintiffDesk drafts

Jane’s first confirmed calendar action creates reviewable draft rows inside PlaintiffDesk. This stage does not create an event on a recipient’s connected calendar.

Review draft details

Check explicit dates, calculated intervals, triggering events, time zones, recipients, reminders, and source excerpts. Edit or reject an uncertain row before it moves beyond the internal draft stage.

Push approved events

A later, separate action can move a reviewed draft to Pushed and create events for the selected recipients when a supported calendar connection is enabled. Confirm at least one recipient and recheck the date, time, time zone, reminders, and destination before that action.

Keep in mind

  • Calendar and deadline consequences require human review even when the source language appears clear.
