- 5
Confirm or correct the case or lead relationship when needed.
- 6
Review filed documents and available signing activity material before treating the work as final.
Prepare the request
Choose the correct document or approved template, add recipients, set the signing order when needed, and place required fields for the correct signer.
Prefilled and required fields
Prefilled values should be checked before sending. Locked fields are displayed for reference; required recipient fields must be completed before that signer can finish.
Recipient access
Recipients use the signing invitation intended for them. The enabled signing view shows the document, assigned fields, progress, and the actions available at that stage.
Sequential signing
When signing order is enabled, later recipients do not begin until the preceding signer completes the required step. Status should be reviewed before reminders are sent.
Matter linking and document filing
A request can be connected to an authorized case or lead during preparation or later from request details. Saving that relationship files the available source documents—or completed signed documents when the request is complete—to the applicable matter destination. Review any filing exception before relying on the case record.
Completion and final records
When signatures are enabled and all required signing is complete, the available final documents and signing activity record can be generated and connected to the request and matter. Confirm the configured destination and every expected file. These records do not by themselves establish identity, notarization, legal validity, or compliance.
Keep in mind
- Signature availability is readiness- and configuration-dependent, and detailed preparation controls live in the separate Signature workspace.
- Generated or completed documents still require the firm’s legal and operational review before they are treated as final.
