Personal settings and navigation

Adjusting the signed-in user’s profile, navigation, security choices, shared links, and device-local preferences.

On this page

Before you start

  • A signed-in individual account.

Typical workflow

  1. 1

Open Settings and review the Profile information associated with the account.

  2. 2

Choose the application and case navigation treatments that fit the user’s working style.

  3. 3

Review Password & PIN controls and follow the firm’s account-security requirements.

  4. 4

Use Shared Links to revisit links created from authorized files or folders.

  5. 5

Adjust Local Preferences when supported behavior should be remembered on the current device.

Profile

Users can review and maintain the personal information shown with their account, including name, contact details, and job information available to the firm.

Application navigation

Available navigation layouts include the Dock, Minimized Dock, and Classic Sidebar. The selected layout changes how primary destinations are reached without changing access.

Case navigation

Case sections can use a simplified selector or the original section navigation. Mobile matters continue to use the compact case-section treatment appropriate to the screen.

Password and PIN

Security settings let the user manage the available password and PIN controls for the individual account. Firm access policies still apply.

Shared Links and local preferences

Shared Links provides visibility into links created by the user, while Local Preferences controls supported behavior that is remembered on the current device or browser.

Keep in mind

  • A navigation preference changes presentation, not the user’s role or access to firm records.
