Jane reports and data summaries

Creating and refining report definitions, explaining structured results, and checking the source data behind an answer.

On this page

Before you start

  • Access to the report or data context Jane is being asked to explain.

Typical workflow

  1. 1

Identify the report, result set, or operational question Jane should work from.

  2. 2

Confirm the time period, population, measures, and comparison that matter.

  3. 3

Review the returned summary, tables, and supporting context for omissions or misleading groupings.

  4. 4

Refine the request or return to the report builder when the underlying data needs to change.

Report proposal

Jane can propose a report name, fields, criteria, grouping, and sorting. A user should inspect the visible definition before it becomes a saved firm report.

Criteria review

Confirm field identifiers, dropdown choices, date behavior, empty values, nested AND/OR logic, case scope, and archived-record handling before saving or revising a report.

Data summaries

A summary should identify its report or workbook, relevant period, grouping, calculations, and any excluded or incomplete rows so the explanation can be reconciled.

Firm analytics

Firmwide questions are intended for analysis within the user’s configured access. Inspect any separately proposed save or record action, and open the supporting dashboard, report, or structured record when a material figure requires row-level review.

Keep in mind

  • Jane can explain or prepare report work, but the underlying records and report criteria remain authoritative.
