Open the AI planner
Open Proactive from Jane to see active and planned counts, create a task, refresh current status, and review the available task cards. When the current case or chat has matching work, confirm that scoped list before acting on it.
Choose the review task
Available categories include Case health assessment, Document watch, Deadline risk review, Background draft job, and Custom task. Use the title and prompt to state the question, desired review, source boundary, and uncertainty Jane should preserve.
Set the schedule
A task can be Manual, Once, Hourly, Daily, Weekly, or Every N days. Manual work runs only when a user selects Run now; repeating intervals can be set from 1 through 365 days. Choose the least frequent cadence that still serves the review purpose.
Verify case and chat context
Check the Case ID before every save and confirm the Case and Chat labels shown on the resulting card. If the planner has no task matching the current context, it can show the broader planned list, so the open screen alone should not be treated as proof of scope.
Control planned work
Run now starts an available task, Pause stops future scheduled work, Resume restarts it, and Delete removes it. These controls act when selected, and Delete does not present a second confirmation, so verify the task card before using them.
Review recent runs
Recent rows can show Queued, Running, Completed, or Failed status with a short message and time. The compact recent-run view is not a complete audit history; open and review the substantive result and its sources before relying on it.
Keep consequential work separate
A scheduled review or background draft prepares work for review. It does not make a draft final or authorize a save, send, filing, calendar push, or other record change outside the separate controls for that action.
Keep in mind
- Delete acts without a second confirmation, and an existing task is deleted and recreated when its setup needs to change.
- Scheduled review does not replace responsibility for deadlines, docket review, source verification, or a consequential action’s separate confirmation controls.
